The area around our land recieved 12-13 inches of Rainfall overnight on 5/31/2013. We wanted to see the creek the following morning (6/1), but we unfortunately couldnt make it till evening - and already the creek had calmed down to look like this:
All the sand on the shore was new, easily built up 2-3 feet.
When we were able to go back 2 days later (6/3), the creek was basically back to normal:
