   ABOUT US..

Lanes End Sustainable Systems is an ongoing (family owned and operated) project, run by Jay and Trish.  In 2013, with the help of some family members, we purchased approximately 20 acres in the central/east central Oklahoma area.  Over the next several years (and possibly much longer) we will be constructing cost effective/energy efficient/low maintenance/long lasting structures (aka monolithic domes) that will function both as shelters and living or work spaces.  We will also design and implement various garden areas using mainly permaculture techniques.  The ultimate the goal is to be as self-sustainable and self-sufficient as possible.

We strongly believe that the amount of wasted energy and resources on this planet will inevitably destroy the one and only home we have.  We could rant on this subject for days (and at times we have).  But to put it simply - The idea behind our land and lifestyle choice, is to minimalize our negative impact on the planet, and if at all possible create a positive impact.  Growing our own fruit and vegetables, living in affordable/efficient/off grid structures, and trying to reduce our waste as much as possible will put us well on our way of doing our part to help protect the Earth.

Some might say trying to change how we live is useless.. but we choose to read that word as ‘Use LESS’ and continue to do our part to help out.  If more folks do their part we might be surprised how much we can accomplish.
